Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) once told Sayyiduna ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir (radiyallahu ‘anhu): “O ‘Uqbah! Should I not inform you of the best character of the inhabitants of the earth and the Hereafter? [It is:] Joining ties with those that sever ties, and that you give those who deprive you and pardon those who oppress you,”
