How To Improve Hifz at home for a Hafiz Who’s Dhor is Extremely Weak
This is a method combining 3 paras a day (which is a recommended amount by ulama for each hafiz to maintain hifz) and doing sabak, sabak para and dhor.
1) Read 2 paras a day looking inside. In 15 days a khatam will be completed. Use your phone as an advantage. Quran apps have bookmarks and continue where you have left off. Value every minute to read, waiting for salah, standing in a queue at a shop, waiting for an appointment, at a bus stop, being a passenger in a car, a great amount can get done when we multi task.
2) Any para you wish to learn first as sabak, learn the first two pages of itby reading it 14 times. 2 pages times 14 is equivalent to 28 pages which is equivalent to one para.
So day one of above method Juz 1and Juz 2 are read looking inside and page 1 and 2 are learnt as sabak. Day 2, juz 3 and 4 are read looking inside and and page 3 and 4 are learnt and so forth.
3) Day 15, juz 29 and juz 30 and the entire juz that was just learnt as sabak will be read all once.
4) Day 16, the day after khatam, read the first half of the juz that was just learnt as sabak 6 times. This is equivalent to three juz and in this way sabak para is done also.
5) Day 17, do the same for the second half.
Alhumdulillah in 17 days one khatam was completed, one juz was learnt as sabak and sabak para was done of it also just by reading an equivalent of 3 paras a day which is a recommended amount for all huffaaz.
Alhumdulillah this method has been trialled by a few people and has benefited them greatly in improving hifz. We hope this method can be a means of helping others also who are facing this dilemma.
It a great idea to do this method with a group of friends, who encourage, update and motivate each other to read on a daily basis. May Allah accept from all of us and make us the best hafiz.
