Advice for Ramadan: Dedicate Your Time to the Qur’an – Hadrat Mawlana Tameem Ahmadi (db) @thaanwi2

When people ask me regarding what to focus on in this blessed month of Ramadan

I simply answer: other than careful diligence upon your fasting & nightly prayers… DEDICATE YOUR TIME TO THE QUR’AN.

Ramadan is the month of the Qur’an and in it was the Qur’an revealed

Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would revise the entire Qur’an with Jibrīl (alyhis salam) in this blessed month. And in the year that he passed away, he reviewed it with him twice.
(Bukhari & Muslim)

In ⁦‪Ramadan‬⁩ Imam al-Bukhari رح would make one completion of the Qur’an daily at Iftar time and he would say: “Du’as are accepted at the time of completion of the Qur’an.” (Sifat al-Safwa)

It has been reported that Imams Abu Hanifa and al-Shafi’ī (may Allah be pleased with them) would make 60 completions of the Qur’an in the month of Ramadan besides the khatm in tarāwīh.
(Sifat al-Safwa)

Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali says, “It is not preferable in normal circumstances to complete the Quran in such a short period of time, but in blessed places and blessed times it is highly recommended.” (Latā’if al-Ma’ārif)

Simple Tip to make at least 1 completion of the Qur’an in Ramadan:

There are about 20 pages in one juz.

If you just read four pages after every salah, you will complete one juz a day.
