Fasting is a Shield 🛡️
Jābir ibn Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:
الصِّيامُ جُنَّةٌ يَسْتَجِنُّ بِها العبدُ مِنَ النارِ
❝ Fasting is a shield by which the person is protected from the Fire. ❞
• أخرجه أحمد (١٥٢٩٩)؛ بسنده حسن
How strong you wish to make your shield is up to you, but don’t weaken it with idle speech or unworthy actions lest it eventually breaks altogether.
