Ramadān Reminders: Ways To Strengthen The Muslim Brotherhood & Sisterhood
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:
“The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
Sahīh al-Bukhari (no. 5665).
Ways to strengthen the brotherhood & sisterhood:
- Give the greeting of Islām – Assalāmu Alaykum – whenever you meet.
- Greet your fellow Muslim with a smile. This is a sign of gentleness and mercy.
- Give each other gifts.
- Always want the best for your fellow Muslim.
- Offer advice in a kind and gentle manner.
- Look over the minor mistakes of your brother. Everyone is different. If your looking for a perfect friend you will be friendless.
- Never look down upon your brother or sister.
- Supplicate for him/her when they are not present.
Note: Each point is related with the same gender and not for men to greet random sisters.
